How to Print Our Coloring Pages
Every page on ColoringFable is designed for US letter paper (8.5 × 11″) and prints cleanly in black and white. Here is the fastest way to get from screen to crayons.
From a computer
Open the coloring page and click the Print this page button — your browser's print dialog opens with just the drawing, no menus or buttons. Choose portrait orientation, set margins to "default" and scale to "fit to page". Plain printer paper works great; 24 lb paper holds markers better.
From a phone or tablet
Tap Print this page and pick your printer (AirPrint on iPhone/iPad, or your printer's app on Android). No printer nearby? Tap Download PNG and print later from any library, school or print shop — the file is a standard image.
Print with the color guide
Every drawing has its own colored example. On any coloring page, choose Print with color guide to add a small color reference in the corner of the sheet — kids glance at it while coloring, no second screen needed. Prefer the model full-size? Print in color (under "How to color it") prints the colored version itself, great as a reference sheet or for cut-and-compare games.
Print with a name on it
Use Personalize with a name on any page to add big colorable outline letters — drag them where you want, pick a lettering style, then print: the name prints as part of the drawing. See how personalization works.
Keeping the lines crisp
Print in black & white (grayscale) at 100% quality. If lines come out gray or fuzzy, raise the print quality setting rather than the darkness: our pages are pure black line art, so "text & image" or "best" mode gives the sharpest result.
No printer at all?
Many of our easy designs color beautifully on a tablet in any free drawing app: download the PNG, open it as a background layer, and color on a layer above.
