🎨 How to color it

Use imperial yellow for the palace walls, moss green for the winding garden beds, soft white with golden centers for the edelweiss, and a pale blue-gray outline around the Austria map. Because the façade has many narrow windows, columns, and roof details, layer with sharp colored pencils and move section by section from the central balcony outward. For a polished touch, shade the blank ribbon like cream satin and let the edelweiss leaves shift from deep alpine green at the base to silvery green at the tips.

The story behind this coloring page

Under the clipped linden trees, Vera invented a game: one breath for each curve of the gravel path, no turning back before the stone basin. She wanted the blank ribbon tied beyond the garden stair, proof she had crossed the open court alone. The palace windows flashed like quiet eyes; her glove caught on a thorny edelweiss leaf, leaving one thread behind. At the basin she took the ribbon, but also a slower breath, scented with dust, leaf sap, and rain-warmed stone. Returning, she tucked the ribbon under her sleeve and passed the linden trees changed by one small crossing.
