🎨 How to color it

Layer the crown’s tall center spire in antique gold, the round jewels in ruby red and moonstone blue, and the stepped side ornaments in cool silver. Use sharp colored pencils and work from the center diamond outward so the tiny triangles, circles, and narrow ray panels stay crisp. Try a sunrise gradient across the fan of rays, moving from pale lemon near the middle to deep amber at the outer points.

Under the prism chapel’s high hush, Liora set her crown on the cool stone and invented a game: each person would send one patch of sunlight to someone else, no keeping, only passing. Gold warmed her fingertips; dust smelled faintly of beeswax as courtiers tilted mirrors, sleeves, even silver spoons, and bright shapes climbed the walls. Then the chapel prisms began playing too, casting colors no hand had aimed—rose, blue, green—onto the crown’s circles and triangles. Liora laughed softly. The joy was too large for one brow, so the sun game kept moving from face to face.
