🎨 How to color it

Give the princess’s gown an icy blue, her fur-trimmed cape a soft pearl white, the castle towers a pale lavender-gray, and the snowflakes a bright silver-blue. Use sharp colored pencils for the tiny bodice curls, crown points, and carved door vines, then fill the wide cape and skirt panels with smoother strokes. Try a cool-to-warmer glow by shading the doorway behind her in pale aqua and adding a faint rosy pink to her cheeks and jewel necklace.

Every morning, Corinna marched to the Frost Entry with a silver brush and tickled dust from the carved doors before the royal inspectors arrived. The doors always groaned, the towers dripped icicles with a plink-plink-plink, and Corinna always practiced her grand wave without smiling. Until one day, the left door sneezed.

Because of that, a puff of cinnamon-snow blasted her crown sideways. Because of THAT, Corinna’s curiosity ran wild; she poked every carved vine, tapped every icicle, and finally pressed the smallest snowflake button on her bodice. “Aha, you sneezy little secret,” she whispered.

The button popped open like a cold pea pod, and out rolled three tiny frost mice carrying a crumb of gingerbread and a note: PLEASE STOP BRUSHING OUR FRONT DOOR. Corinna laughed so hard the inspectors found her making a mouse-sized welcome mat from ribbon. Next time you spot the snowflake on her gown, listen for plink-plink-plink and one very polite sneeze.
