🎨 How to color it

Give the haunted house soft lavender walls, the tall roof panels charcoal gray, the pumpkins bright orange, and the swooping bats deep black. For little hands, use chunky crayons to fill the big walls and roofs first, then let the windows, bell, and tiny pumpkins be scribbly if they want. Add a pale yellow glow inside the arched windows so the spooky house feels secretly silly, not too scary.

Every night, Tilly tapped her little spoon on the steps: tink, tink, tink. She wanted to tap the big tower bell, but it hung high and looked loud.

Until one night, the spoon slipped—clink!—and bounced up the walk. Because of that, Tilly chased it past the pumpkins. Because of THAT, three bats woke up and flapped, “Try it!”

Tilly gave one tiny bong. The house hiccuped, the pumpkins wiggled, and Tilly giggled. Next time you see the bell tower, can you spot where her brave little bong began?
