In the soft dirt, Tavi patted mud: pat, pat, pat. He wanted to make a sunbeam badge for his game, but the best clay was by the little grass tufts.

Tavi leaned far, far out. His stem went wiggle-wobble. A cool worm trail tickled his root, and one leaf got muddy. “I can make it!” Tavi whispered.

Back on his mound, he pressed the clay flat and poked tiny dots with a seed. The sun warmed it golden. Tavi held up his homemade badge, proud and still muddy. Can you find his happy face under the warm sun?
