🎨 How to color it

Color the unicorn’s body pearl white, the flowing mane and tail lavender and sky blue, the striped horn golden yellow, and the stars bright lemon. Use chunky crayons or markers for the large body, mane, and tail sections, and don’t worry if little hands color over the thick black lines. For a sweet twist, make the horn stripes alternate yellow and pink so the smile feels extra warm.

Beside the hush-hush grass, Nori pushed soft moss into a round little nest. She wanted one place that smelled like clover and felt just right. But every time she settled in, the sky stars drifted away, leaving her meadow too wide and quiet.

A tiny tick-tick sound came from her horn. “Who’s there?” Nori whispered. In the middle stripe, where nobody ever thought to look, a baby star-dot was curled up, warm as a crumb. Nori nuzzled it free, and it popped—plink!—into the air. More dots hurried close, then bigger stars too, circling her mane like friends finding their seats.

Ever since then, star dots gather around unicorns who have found their true place. Next time you see Nori’s smile, can you spot the first little dot that came home?
