🎨 How to color it

Color the popsicle bands lemon yellow, raspberry pink, and sky blue, with a golden sun face and pale blue clouds around it. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for the wide stripes, saving the small sun rays for a slower, careful finish. Try making the single melting drip a darker pink, like the warmest stripe is starting to run.

In the humming freezer, Nico the ice pop tapped his wooden stick three times. He wanted to finish his own dare: peek inside the quiet rooftop cooler before the lunch bell rang. The other treats called it the Cloud Box because fog curled from its lid at night. Nico slid out, bump-bump, onto the warm cart. His stripes tingled. A tiny drop slipped from his corner. “Just one peek,” he whispered.

Up on the roof, gulls squeaked and tar smelled hot as toast. Nico nudged the cooler open. Inside was not fog, but a round golden sticker with a smile, saved for the first brave treat of summer. He pressed it to his chest and hurried back, colder air puffing around him. The drip stayed, but Nico did not mind. Next time you see his sunny mark and that little drop, can you tell which part of the trip cost him courage?
