🎨 How to color it

Color the hero’s cape a bold crimson, her suit a deep sapphire blue, the chest emblem bright gold, and the skyscraper windows pale lemon yellow. Use sharp colored pencils for the tiny building windows and belt sections, then switch to smoother marker fills for the big cape and open sky shapes. Try fading the clouds from lavender at the edges to white in the middle so her red cape feels extra fast against the cool sky.

The story behind this coloring page

Vera Shares the Boom Button — Every day, high above Brindle City, Vera clicked her little red Boom Button at noon. Read the full story →

Every day, high above Brindle City, Vera clicked her little red Boom Button at noon. It looked like a cheap joke-store toy, but it held the recorded laugh of her baby brother, who had giggled through his first thunderstorm. The sound—BOOM-ha-ha!—made office plants tremble, pigeons salute, and grumpy bus drivers grin into their mirrors.

Until one day, the button stuck. Because of that, BOOM-ha-ha! bounced from glass tower to glass tower. Because of THAT, the whole city began laughing in waves: bankers snorted into soup, a window washer dropped his sponge from delight, and the mayor’s toupee spun like a frisbee in the warm wind. Vera chased the echo past towers smelling of hot pretzels and rooftop tar, trying not to laugh too hard to steer.

Finally, she stopped fighting it. “Everybody, catch one!” she called, and pressed the button on purpose. The joy burst so big that people opened windows, clapped pots, rang bike bells, and sent the sound sailing onward. If you spot Vera above the skyline, maybe she is still carrying that tiny red button—ready for one more BOOM-ha-ha at noon.
