Rabbits are lagomorphs, not rodents, and their front teeth keep growing throughout life, so chewing grass, hay, and bark helps wear them down. Baby rabbits are called kits, and they are born helpless with closed eyes and very little fur.
Coloring tips
Start with a rabbit palette of soft gray, warm chestnut brown, sandy tan, creamy white, pale pink for the inner ears and nose, glossy black or dark brown eyes, fresh green grass, and carrot orange with leafy tops. For the round cheeks, paws, and haunches, color in small curved strokes that follow the body shape; then add short, light flicks along the outline to suggest fur without scribbling.
