🎨 How to color it

Color the rabbit soft ivory with peach-pink inner ears, make the tulips coral and golden yellow, and give the butterflies lavender wings with blue spots. Use sharpened colored pencils for the narrow leaves, vine curls, and butterfly wing patterns, then fill the rabbit’s larger fur areas with light, even strokes. Try making the flowers nearest the rabbit warm and bright while the hanging blossoms at the top fade into cooler purples.

Under the tulip leaves, Bramble laid three clover stems in a row and whispered, “Follow-the-Flutter begins.” The game had one rule: wherever the next butterfly dipped, he had to ask, What is it looking for? He wanted the answer before the sun warmed the last dewdrop off his whiskers.

A lavender butterfly tipped past the daisies, over the minty path, and through a gap in the walled bloom garden. Bramble squeezed after it. Brick dust tickled his nose. A snail at the thyme pot offered a shiny trail-map, but asked for the blue ribbon tying Bramble’s carrot bundle. Bramble gave it up, stomach rumbling softly, and followed the silver loops past nodding bells and sleepy bees.

At the far wall, every butterfly gathered around one plain white bud that smelled like rain on clean stone. When it opened, pale pollen puffed out, and Bramble sneezed, “Hff-choo!” The butterflies whirled into a living question mark. Bramble hurried home with no ribbon and no carrot, but with a new rule: some answers flutter bigger when you chase them. Can you find the butterfly that first dared him away from the tulip leaves?
