🎨 How to color it

Give the bunny soft honey-brown fur, the snail a peach body with a mint-green spiral shell, and the daisies sunny yellow centers with pink petals. Use chunky crayons for the bunny’s big round body and the broad leaves, and don’t worry if little hands color over the grass lines. For a funny twist, make the snail’s spiral shell change colors as it curls inward, like a tiny candy wheel.

Under the clover arches, Pipkin set himself a breakfast dare: boop one shiny dewdrop with his nose. The grass smelled wet and green, and his whiskers went tickle-tickle as he crept closer. He had never booped a dewdrop before. It looked small, but his paws still felt wobbly.

He leaned in. The shiny bead leaned in too. “Boop?” whispered Pipkin.

“Boop,” said the dewdrop.

Pipkin hopped backward so fast a leaf flipped over with a flap! The dewdrop lifted two eye-stalks and grinned. It was Sloop the snail, wearing morning shine on his shell. Together they made a new dare: one bunny nose, one snail nose, one brave tiny boop. Next time you see their noses almost touching, can you keep the secret of the talking dewdrop?
