Tap-tap, thump-thump! Pip zoomed across the meadow with two paper ear-caps he had folded himself. They crinkled in the warm wind. “Fast ears!” he called.
He hopped past daisies, over a twig, around a beetle. His cheeks puffed. His whiskers wiggled. The paper caps stayed on.
Then the sun shone through them—whoosh! They looked like rocket flames. Pip did one big hop and landed smiling.
