🎨 How to color it

Color the rabbit soft tan, the striped jersey cherry red and white, the soccer goal silver gray, and the rolling hills fresh green. Use sharp colored pencils for the net’s crisscross pattern and the soccer ball patches, then switch to markers for the wide grass and sky areas. Try making the goal area feel exciting with a pale yellow glow behind the net and cool blue shadows under the rabbit’s sneakers.

Every afternoon after seed cakes, Fizzwick tapped a pinecone between two boot prints and whispered, “Bounce-goal!” The rules were simple: one hop, one kick, and no going past the chalky white line where the big rabbits played. Their net rattled in the wind like a tin lunchbox, and Fizzwick always felt his whiskers fizz before he got too close.

Until one day, his pinecone bonked a real soccer ball. Because of that, the ball rolled onto the big pitch, wobbling through clover and warm dust. Because of THAT, three field mice began chanting, “Kick it, kick it!” from inside an old cleat. Fizzwick’s ears flew back. He wanted his new game to have a real goal, but the net looked enormous, like a cage waiting to gulp the ball.

Finally, Fizzwick made one tiny brave rule: “Laugh if I miss.” He dashed, thumped, and toe-poked the ball. The net went fwump instead of rattle, and the mice cheered so loudly a cloud seemed to bounce. Next time you spot his raised sneaker, can you tell whether he is about to score—or invent an even sillier rule after seed cakes?
