🎨 How to color it

Give the rabbit’s fur a soft cocoa brown, the spacesuit bright white with sky-blue patches, the carrot badge orange, and the moon craters pale gray. Use sharp colored pencils for the suit’s small tubes, cuffs, and knee circles, then fill the broad helmet bubble with very light, even strokes. Add a faint blue glow around the clear helmet and make each of the three stars a different golden yellow.

Every evening on Crater Plain, Lumi pressed her recorder to the ground and tried to catch one sound for the moon. Dust whispered under her boots, stars blinked without a squeak, and even her own breath stayed tucked inside her glass helmet.

Until one evening, her recorder went click-click-click and shut its little red eye. Because of that, Lumi had to stand still instead of searching. Because of that, she heard a tiny hum coming from a pocket nobody checked—the flat pocket with the carrot patch. Her paw shook as she opened it. Inside lay a silver seed, warm as a held pebble, singing mmm-mmm-moon.

“Hello?” Lumi whispered, and the crater beneath her boot answered with a soft thrum. Finally, she planted the seed in the dust and waved once, small but brave, while three stars seemed to lean closer. Next time you spot her raised paw, listen for the sound Lumi caught for the moon.
