🎨 How to color it

Color the bunny soft cream, the tall carrot bright orange with leafy green tops, and the two daisies sunny yellow with white petals. Use chunky crayons or broad marker strokes for the big cheeks, ears, and carrot, and don’t worry if little hands color over the lines. Try making the inside of the rabbit’s tall ears pale pink so they stand out from the fluffy face.

Every morning, Pip tucked extra clover bites under the daisy leaves before the beetles woke. He wanted hungry neighbors to find breakfast without knowing who left it. The grass smelled wet and sweet, and Pip’s paws went pat-pat-pat.

Until one day, a carrot as tall as a boot popped up beside the daisies. Pip tugged it—squeak!—but it would not budge. Because of that, he leaned closer and heard tiny crunching inside. Because of THAT, he peeled back a leafy top and found a hollow carrot stuffed with acorn muffins.

“Surprise!” whispered Pip, though nobody was there. He rolled the muffins into every burrow, then sat with his whiskers wiggling as the beetles cheered at breakfast. Next time you spot that big carrot, can you guess where Pip hid the last muffin before his paws went pat-pat-pat?
