🎨 How to color it

Color the deck chair fabric in sunny yellow and white stripes, the straw hat honey tan with a coral ribbon, and the lemon drink pale orange. Use chunky crayons or markers to fill the wide chair panels first, then add the smaller lemon slice and straw details. Try making the ocean light blue near the sand and a deeper blue farther out, while leaving a few cloud tops bright white.

The story behind this coloring page

Why Chair Stripes Save Sunshine — By the hushy shore, Nina gathered fallen sunbeams in her little pail. Read the full story →

By the hushy shore, Nina gathered fallen sunbeams in her little pail. She wanted to warm the night tidekeepers before their moon-cold work began, but the wind kept puffing them out—whoof, whoof—across the sand.

Then Nina peeked under a straw hat on an empty chair and found a secret hollow in the rolled cloth. “There you are,” she whispered. She tucked every golden ribbon inside and left without waiting for thanks. At dusk, the tidekeepers sat down, sighed softly, and smiled. Ever since, beach chairs wear stripes to hold spare sunshine for anyone who needs it. Can you find where Nina hid the hushy shore’s warmest gift?
