🎨 How to color it

Color the big uppercase Y lemon yellow, the lowercase y sky blue, the yo-yo cherry red, and the scattered stars golden orange. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for the large letter outlines, then switch to a sharper crayon tip for the tiny stars inside the Y and on the yo-yo. Try making the long string change from purple to pink as it loops across the page, like a silly trail the yo-yo drew by accident.

Under the warm rooftop lights, Yori the little yak flicked his new yo-yo down and up. Zip-yip! Zip-yip! He had just invented Yard-Y, a game where the string had to swoop in a giant Y before the yo-yo came home to his hoof. The roof smelled like sun-baked tiles, and tiny paper stars from Auntie’s party rustled in the breeze. “One more yip!” Yori whispered, grinning.

The string looped around a chair leg, curled past a flowerpot, and slid through the air in a ridiculous noodle shape. Then the paper stars lifted—no, not paper at all. Fireflies blinked on, one by one, following the path his yo-yo had drawn. They weren’t watching his game; they were using it as a glowing map to their cozy cracks in the wall. Yori bowed to his twinkly teammates and sent the yo-yo down again: zip-yip, right where he belonged.
