🎨 How to color it

Layer deep magenta on the fuchsia petals, emerald and olive on the patterned leaves, plum on the oval buds, and soft gold on the dangling stamens. Use sharp colored pencils and work petal by petal, filling the tiny spirals, dots, and scalloped bands before shading the larger curved sections. Try making the central spiral of the left bloom glow from pale pink to hot coral so it feels like the mischievous heart of the bouquet.

The story behind this coloring page

Every evening, Selka ruled one clean square of paper, dipped her nib, and drew fuchsia petals until the attic smelled of dust, iron ink, and cold tea. She wanted to finish a card entirely by hand before the town’s presses could clatter out their perfect copies. Then a speckled ink imp rolled from the bottle, bowed with a blot, and said, “Too tidy. Let me ruin it professionally.”

Because of that, her careful vines gained loops like laughing shoelaces; because of that, every leaf demanded its own stripes, scales, dots, and secret weather. Selka chased the imp with a rag, missed, and found her fingers inventing faster than her worry. At last she signed the bottom corner, not to claim the wildness, but to admit she had made room for it. The presses slept below, and in the attic, one clean square of paper had become deliciously untidy with ink.
