Under the flat-top tree, Kiko tapped the dry dirt. Tap-tap! The big orange sun sat low and warm.
Kiko took three brave steps from the trunk. The grass went swish, swish. “I can go this far,” Kiko said.
Then—prrrrp! A tiny roar popped from a grass clump. Not a lion. A little beetle buzzed out, shiny as a seed.
