🎨 How to color it

Color the acacia top leafy green, the trunk warm brown, the half-sun golden yellow, and the grass tufts bright lime. Use chunky crayons for the big tree crown and sun, and let little hands color right over the bold black lines if they want. Try making the sky peach near the sun and pale blue above the acacia branches.

The story behind this coloring page

Kiko Meets the Tiny Roar — Under the flat-top tree, Kiko tapped the dry dirt. Tap-tap! Read the full story →

Under the flat-top tree, Kiko tapped the dry dirt. Tap-tap! The big orange sun sat low and warm.

Kiko took three brave steps from the trunk. The grass went swish, swish. “I can go this far,” Kiko said.

Then—prrrrp! A tiny roar popped from a grass clump. Not a lion. A little beetle buzzed out, shiny as a seed.

Kiko laughed and tapped back. Tap-tap! The beetle buzzed beside him, and next time you see the grass by the tree, can you spot the tiny roar?
