🎨 How to color it

Color the lily pads leaf green, the water lilies soft pink, the cattails warm brown, and the far hills pale yellow-green. For little hands, use chunky crayons to fill the big lily pads first, then dab color onto the small flower petals and cattail tops. Add one silly blue ripple around a favorite pad, as if something giggly just wiggled underneath.

Beside the cattail pond, Pip patted a big lily pad and set down one cracker. Plip, plop, the water made tiny rings. Pip wanted the coziest snack seat, so he patted another pad, then another.

The pink flowers nodded. The brown cattails swished, hush-hush. Pip sat very still.

Then the first lily pad wiggled. “Hee-hee!” said a tiny frog underneath, wearing Pip’s cracker like a hat.

Pip laughed so hard the clouds seemed to bounce. Next snack time, can you find the wiggly pad where Pip belonged?
