Before breakfast, under ropes that creaked like sleepy gulls, Tavi tied spoons, ribbon, and a paper sail into his very own wind-scooper. He wanted it to spin the ship’s wheel without help. Whoosh! The deck smelled of salt and pine boards as he clipped his invention beside the rail.
The scooper spun once, twice, then pointed straight at the treasure chest instead of the breeze. Next time you see his grin, can you spot the handmade wind hiding near the treasure?
