🎨 How to color it

Layer the corn leaves in olive green and golden yellow, make the timber arch a weathered brown, and color the barn deep red beside a pale blue silo. Use sharp colored pencils for the many narrow stalks, working from the outer leaves inward so the corn ears stay crisp. Try giving the blank hanging sign a soft cream fill and the path a fading tan gradient that pulls the eye through the maze.

At the corn maze gate, Orson flicked dust from his boots and invented Patient Wrong Turns: every useless bend earned one chalk mark, and whoever waited longest before guessing won. The corn whispered like paper fans; the blank signs smelled of fresh-cut pine. He strolled, counted, paused, and grinned at his own rules. A breeze tilted the hanging board, and the so-called blank map flashed with shadows from the arch: arrows, barn, silo, cloud, all drawn by sunlight. Orson laughed softly, added no mark at all, and let patience take the first correct wrong turn.
