🎨 How to color it

Color the train cars cherry red, the tall city towers cool gray and slate blue, the station roof teal, and the park trees leafy green. Use sharp colored pencils for the train windows, door seams, and rail supports, then switch to broader strokes for the skyline blocks and roof panels. Try a pale sunrise gradient behind the buildings so the red train feels like it is gliding into morning.

Every morning, before the first train sang around the high curve, Amara climbed the service stairs with a brass key and an old blue transfer ticket in her pocket. She polished the platform lamps until they smelled faintly of lemon oil, then touched the ticket’s soft corner and waited for the wheels to hum overhead. The ticket had belonged to her father on the day he first brought her to the sky park station, where trains seemed to float between towers.

Until one morning, the curve stayed quiet. A wind-bent notice snapped against the glass: NEW ROUTE OPENS TODAY. Because of that, travelers gathered below with coffee cups cooling in their hands, unsure which stairs to climb. Because of that, Amara followed the silent rail to the switch box and found its label slot empty, the little place meant to tell the trains which way was home.

Her pocket felt suddenly warm. “You know the way,” she whispered, and slid the blue transfer ticket behind the clear slot. The next train rounded the bend with a silver sigh, lights blooming one by one, and everyone looked up as if the city had remembered its own song. If you trace the curving rails past the roof and benches, you may find the very place where Amara’s ticket showed the morning where it belonged.
