🎨 How to color it

Color the panda’s patches charcoal black, the bamboo stalks fresh green, the pizza crust golden tan, and the juice box bright cherry red. Use sharp colored pencils for the pizza toppings and bamboo leaves, then switch to smoother marker fills for the big P and lowercase p. Try shading the two letter P shapes in a pale sky-blue gradient so the panda’s black-and-white face stays the star.

The story behind this coloring page

Behind the bamboo supper tent, Pia tapped her paw on an empty plate: pat, pat, pat. Every alphabet guest had brought a sound to share, but Pia wanted a place that felt made for her—a spot with room for pizza, a bamboo straw, and her quiet purring hum. The tables smelled like warm crust and green leaves, yet the P mat stayed flat as a plank, with no cozy curve to curl into.

“Psst,” whispered a fizz from the juice box straw. Pia leaned close. Nobody checked the pizza crust, because crust was for nibbling last. But tucked inside the thick edge was a tiny sugar star, glowing like it had been waiting through a hundred suppers. Pia pressed it into the straight P mat, and the mat puffed outward with a soft pop, making a round pocket just big enough for all things that begin with P: panda, pizza, and a perfect place.

Ever since then, every letter P keeps that round pocket on its side, because Pia found where belonging had been hiding. Next time you see a P, don’t tell everyone—just notice whether it still smells faintly of warm crust and bamboo: pat, pat, pat.
