🎨 How to color it

Color the butterfly’s body warm amber, the roses coral pink, the daisies sunny yellow, and the curling vines fresh green. Use sharp colored pencils for the tiny petals, leaf veins, and spiral tendrils, working from the wing edges toward the body so your hand does not smudge details. Try making the left wings a sunrise palette and the right wings a twilight palette, with the matching flowers tying both sides together.

The story behind this coloring page

The Secret of Wing Gardens — Under the broken glasshouse roof, Fiora followed a smell like roses after rain and peppery green leaves. Read the full story →

Under the broken glasshouse roof, Fiora followed a smell like roses after rain and peppery green leaves. She wanted to find the hidden bloom before the moon slid behind the chimney stones. Every night the perfume drifted through the ruins, and every morning the flower was gone.

A scratch-scratch came from beneath a cracked tile. Out stepped a beetle with ink-dark feet, dragging a silver root like a pen. “Don’t step on the sleeping garden,” he whispered. Fiora looked down. The floor was bare dust, but the beetle’s root drew roses, daisies, leaves, and curling vines that glowed for one breath, then vanished.

“The glasshouse forgot itself,” said the beetle. “It needs wings to remember.” Fiora opened hers, curious past caution, and the silver root touched the empty spaces. Cool lines tingled across her wings, petal by petal, vine by vine, until the midnight perfume settled there. Ever since, butterflies have carried little gardens on their wings; if you follow the curls and blossoms, can you find where the secret first began?
