Past the tire racks, where rubber smelled like rain on hot streets, Rafi held his homemade copper badge under the shop lamp. He wanted one thing: to bolt it onto the chopper before the morning show. But the tank looked plain beside it, and plain would never do for something built by his own scraped knuckles.
