Behind the parlor window, a little flower named Zuzu tapped her leaf on the box: pat-pat, hush-hush. She wanted everyone to play her new game, Pass the Giggle, but the curtains hung heavy and still, smelling like soap and sun-warm cloth. Zuzu sent one happy wiggle up her stem. The other geraniums wiggled too, but the giggle bumped the glass and came right back. “Psst,” Zuzu whispered, “we need a secret helper.”
