On the windy ridge, Fina kept one honey cake wrapped in a fig leaf for the long walk home. Dust tickled her sandals, and the men around Jesus spoke in soft, puzzled voices. Then she heard a tiny cough behind a rock. An old traveler sat there, too tired to climb higher. Fina pressed the cake into his hand before anyone noticed. “For your road,” she whispered.
