🎨 How to color it

Color the nurse’s cap and coat snowy white with a cherry-red cross, make her medical bag sky blue, and give the hearts and stars sunny pinks and yellows. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for her large coat, hair, and bag, then switch to a sharper crayon tip for the tiny bandages, thermometer lines, and clipboard boxes. For a playful twist, alternate two soft colors in the clipboard grid as if every square is a different silly patient note.

Every day, Nina carried the clinic clipboard and waited for the waiting room wiggles to settle. The chairs squeaked, the paper on the exam table crinkled, and someone always whispered, “Is it my turn yet?”

Until one day, the names on Nina’s chart slid sideways by themselves. Because of that, she checked every pocket, every bandage box, and even the cold stethoscope. Because of THAT, the patients began giggling so hard the thermometer nearly rolled away. “Hold still, wiggly chart!” Nina said.

At last, she peeked under the clipboard clip, the spot nobody ever looked. A tiny rubber duck popped out with a squeak. Nina waited for one last quack, then wrote the neatest name of all: Duck, Doctor of Wiggles. If you peek at Nina’s clipboard, maybe the next squeak is hiding there too.
