🎨 How to color it

Use sunny yellow for the lemon slices and big fruit wedges, sky blue for both lemonade pitchers, and cherry red for the striped awning. For little hands, color the wide awning stripes and wooden stand boards first with chunky crayons, then dab color into the lemons and cups. Make the blank sign extra silly by adding rainbow letters or tiny lemon stickers drawn inside it.

Every day, Pip tapped a tiny sour button under the lemonade stand: plink! Then cups marched out, slurp-slurp, for everyone.

One hot day, ants came tickle-tickling across the sidewalk. Pip had only one lemon left. “Uh-oh,” Pip whispered.

Because of that, Pip squeezed half into the pitcher and hid half in a thimble cup. Because of THAT, the ants had a teeny party nobody saw, with sour little grins.

At last, Pip tapped the button again: plink! Next time you spot the big pitchers, listen for that tiny sour plink.
