🎨 How to color it

Color Party Bot in bright turquoise, make the cupcake frosting strawberry pink, the balloons lemon yellow and sky blue, and the star bunting golden. Use sharp colored pencils for the tiny gears, chest buttons, confetti, and striped banners, then switch to markers for the robot’s broad head and body panels. Try a rainbow swirl on the party horn so the “FWOOSH!” looks like a sound you can see.

Every day, after the party hall went quiet, Dexby rolled under the paper banners and counted leftover joys: three curled ribbons, seven silver crumbs, one cupcake smell of vanilla and warm sugar. He had set himself a challenge—make one birthday wish come true without anyone knowing it was him.

Until one day, the wish jar held a note folded small as a star: “Please let the candle stay lit for Grandpa’s song.” Because of that, Dexby saved his last sparkle charge instead of using it to brighten his chest sign. Because of THAT, when the drafty door whooshed open and the little flame shivered blue, Dexby puffed his party horn and sent his sparkle through the curl.

The candle stood tall. The song rose soft. Nobody watched Dexby’s dimmer light, but he clicked his claw in the confetti and felt the hall glow anyway. If you spot one tiny flame beside the cupcake, keep Dexby’s secret: it smells like vanilla and warm sugar.
