🎨 How to color it

Color the beach ball in cherry red, sunny yellow, and aqua blue stripes, with teal sunglasses, peach sand, and purple flip-flops with yellow stars. The ball’s large curved panels are perfect for broad crayon fills, while the tiny shells and sand dots work best with a sharper pencil or careful marker tip. Try making the sunglasses lenses fade from sky blue at the top to pale mint at the bottom, as if they are catching the ocean light.

The story behind this coloring page

Under the hush-hush morning sun, Pip rolled a circle in the cool sand and invented Shadow-Splash. The rule was simple: if a shadow touched your stripe, you had to shout “Splash!” Pip wanted to catch the sun’s quickest shadow, the one that slipped behind clouds and sunglasses without a sound.

Flip-flops flapped, shells clicked, and the waves went shhh-shhh closer. Then Pip tipped back, peeked through the dark lenses, and saw it: a tiny bright wink hiding inside each glassy curve. “Splash!” Pip squeaked, and the sun giggled so warmly that every beach ball ever after wore sunglasses to keep that secret wink safe. If you spot the shiny slants on Pip’s lenses, don’t tell the waves.
