Under the warm shed roof, Benny nudged a blue coat button on his bumper. “Back we go,” he peeped. The button smelled like soap and rain, and it belonged on Conductor Jo’s soft sleeve.

Clickety-click, Benny rolled past grass hills. A wind puff took one shiny star sticker from his bumper. Oh! Benny slowed, but kept going. At the sunny bend, Jo sewed on the button and patted his warm nose.
