🎨 How to color it

Use sunshine yellow for the daisy center, white or pale pink petals, grass green leaves, and sky blue water from the watering can. For toddlers, try chunky crayons on the big petals and leaves, and let the dotted water lines stay loose and playful. Add a happy twist by making each large water drop a different blue, from light sky to deep puddle.

Beside a warm little mound, Nori held her tin cup high. Plink, plink, plunk—she wanted to count three shiny drops before the sun tickled her nose.

The water smelled like cool stone. One drop slid, two drops hopped, three drops sparkled. Then the daisy whispered, “My turn.”

Nori stood very still. The daisy was counting sunbeams—one on a petal, two on a leaf, three on Nori’s toes. Plink, shine, plink, shine. If you peek at the garden mound, can you find where Nori’s three drops belong?
