🎨 How to color it

Color the watermelon cubes coral red with deep green seed marks, the strawberries ruby red with leafy green tops, the citrus wheels sunny orange, and the bowl pale aqua. Use sharp colored pencils for the tiny seed shapes and citrus segments, then switch to broader strokes for the napkin and wood planks. Try making every other watermelon cube a slightly cooler pink so the pile looks sparkly and chilled.

The story behind this coloring page

Every day after the morning rush, Tansy set her father’s tiny silver bell beside the fruit bowl and promised not to ring it unless the market truly needed it. The bell looked like a thimble with a handle, but inside its thin note was the sound of her father’s cart rolling home. She polished it while watermelon juice shone on the cutting board and bees hummed under the striped awnings.

Until one day, the sun grew white and still, and the market forgot how to laugh. Because of that, Tansy tucked the bell under the napkin and carried out a bowl piled with cold watermelon cubes, strawberries, and orange rounds. Because of that, one quiet customer took a piece, then another, and their sticky smiles made the air seem greener.

At last Tansy rang the little bell—ting!—not to call for help, but to call everyone closer. The sound shimmered over the fruit stalls, and joy spread faster than juice on fingers. If you listen by the bowl, maybe you can still hear the tiny silver bell.
