🎨 How to color it

Color the Abigail letters in soft lavender, the two little birds in warm robin brown, the daisies in buttery yellow, and the berry clusters in coral red. Use sharp colored pencils for the thin vine curls and tiny leaf veins, then switch to markers for the wide letter spaces. Try fading each large letter from pale lavender at the top to deeper violet at the bottom, so the flowers look tucked into the name.

The story behind this coloring page

Under the glass roof, Abigail tapped her pencil on the spring chart: A, B, I, G, A, I, L. One square stayed blank. She needed a letterseed before the noon mist, so she left her warm stool and stepped between wet fern fronds that brushed her sleeves like cool feathers.

A brown bird clicked from a high vine. “Not there,” it chirped, though Abigail had not asked. She searched seedpods, berry cups, and curled leaves. A thorn nicked her thumb, and sap smelled sharp as lemon peel. At last, the second bird gave one quiet note. Inside that tiny sound, something shone.

Abigail cupped the note, and it opened into a seed shaped like a little loop. Back at the chart, she planted it in the empty square. By dusk, every letter had grown vines of its own, whispering her name in leaves. If you follow the birds’ beaks, you may find where the quiet note first hid under the glass roof.
