Until one day, a contraband pocket-rocket hissed across the reflection with a rude little pfft. Because of that, she snorted into her comms; because of that, her breath fogged the glass and turned the craters into smudged biscuits. “Steady, Captain Eyelids,” she whispered, and, for the first time, pressed the launch-tracker button herself. Finally, the tiny rocket curved safely home, and Imogen finished one whole moonrise without blinking.
