🎨 How to color it

Give the crown a bright gold, the three oval gems a ruby red, and the little band circles a sky blue. Use chunky crayons or markers to fill the wide crown points first, and do not worry if color hops over the thick black lines. Try making the biggest middle jewel purple, like it is keeping a tiny secret.

The story behind this coloring page

In the velvet closet, Pip pushed hats left and right. Swish, swish. He wanted one snug spot for his sleepy head.

A moon-moth fluttered from a silver button. “Psst. Try the tall one.”

Pip climbed inside the gold crown. The round jewels felt cool. The middle point rose over him like a tiny room. Hummm—the crown fit just right.

Ever since, crowns keep one tall point in the middle, a secret place for small heads that belong there. Can you find Pip’s quiet room?
