🎨 How to color it

Color the crown sunny gold, the round and teardrop jewels candy pink and turquoise, the stars lemon yellow, and the clouds pale blue. Use chunky crayons or markers for the wide crown band and big points, then switch to a smaller crayon tip for the tiny stars and jewel highlights. Try making each crown point a little brighter at the top, as if the smiling crown is glowing in the sky.

The story behind this coloring page

Bree’s Tiny Crown Dare — Under a blanket roof in the playroom, Bree set a shiny paper crown on a pillow throne. Read the full story →

Under a blanket roof in the playroom, Bree set a shiny paper crown on a pillow throne. She poked its tallest point and whispered, “Hello, Your Wobbliness.” Saying it out loud made her toes curl, but she had dared herself to greet the crown before snack time. The pillow smelled like warm laundry.

She tried a royal bow. The crown tipped left. She tried a royal trumpet: “Prrr-pah!” The crown tipped right. Then the shiny dots around it squeaked. Tiny starlight mice popped from the paper jewels, wearing crumbs for hats.

“We were waiting for you to start the parade,” peeped one. Bree giggled so hard the blanket roof shivered. She marched one small lap, brave as a drumbeat, while the mice twinkled beside the crown; can you spot where they might hide before the next “Hello, Your Wobbliness”?
