🎨 How to color it

Give the jack-o’-lantern a deep burnt orange, the Celtic knotwork a rich bronze, the oak leaves olive and rust, and the apples a crisp red. Use sharp pencils for the interlaced bands, tracing each over-under path before filling the small loops and curls. Try a dark teal background inside the braided border so the warm pumpkin and harvest details feel lit from within.

The story behind this coloring page

Every evening, Tavik dared himself to follow one carved line from stem to grin without lifting his spark. The festival threshold smelled of crushed oak leaves, cold apples, and corn silk, and his flame raced through bronze-dark grooves like a fox through bracken. Until one night, the last knot refused to close. It hissed, twisted, and opened into a gate wide enough for the autumn wind to charge through.

Because of that, acorns rattled like drums and the border-vines snapped awake around him. Because of that, every pumpkin in the row rolled backward, leaving Tavik alone at the center of the gust. He could have tucked his light deep and waited for morning; instead he drove his glow into the broken loop, laughing as the whole threshold thundered orange. Finally the wandering line found his grin, locked into place, and the gate stood still around him, exactly where his spark belonged—following one carved line from stem to grin.
