🎨 How to color it

Color the disaster relief truck bright red, the two canopy tents sunny yellow and teal, the food and water boxes tan with blue labels, and the leafy tree fresh green. Use sharp colored pencils for the truck lettering, crate symbols, tent ropes, and small volunteer details before filling the larger tent roofs with smoother strokes. Try a warm-to-cool contrast by making the truck bold and bright while shading the buildings behind it in pale gray-blue.

Every afternoon, Nico clicked his empty sticker roll against his wrist and raced between the schoolyard tents, marking each crate after it was counted. The little silver stars had come from his older sister’s first aid kit, and he saved them for boxes that were exactly right. Tape squeaked, cardboard smelled dusty, and the big relief truck rumbled like thunder beside the curb.

Until one day, the water boxes arrived under the food sign and the medical boxes landed by the snack table. Because of that, helpers hurried in circles. Because of that, Nico’s last three stars seemed too precious to waste. Then he slapped one star onto his own shirt and shouted, “Follow the sparkle!”

He led a zigzag parade: food to the left tent, water to the truck door, medicine under the tree. Soon everyone wanted a star to pass along, so Nico tore the empty roll into tiny silver loops and shared those too. The camp buzzed with laughter bigger than sirens, and if you check the busy schoolyard now, you might spot where one last sparkle still points the way.
