🎨 How to color it

Layer the unicorn’s body in pearl white and pale lavender, the morning glories in periwinkle and rose, the butterflies in amber, and the crescent moons in soft silver. Use sharp colored pencils for the tiny leaf veins, spiral mane strands, and flower centers, turning the page as you follow each curl. For a handmade glow, shade the stars from lemon yellow to white and echo that warmth inside the unicorn’s floral patterns.

In the glass-roofed conservatory, Elowen braided fallen tendrils into a garland, pressing each stem with her horn until the fibers held. The air smelled of damp soil and morning glory sap. She wanted the first piece made entirely by her own hands to be strong enough to hang above the night-blooming arch.

As the afternoon thinned to blue, she added petals, seed pearls, and two curls of silver thread. The garland grew heavier, not with weight, but with memory: every twist showed where her hooves had steadied it, every knot kept the warmth of her breath.

Then a moth settled where nobody had looked, under the broadest heart-shaped leaf. Its wings stirred the shadow aside, revealing a tiny moon-loom built into the vine itself, already strung with light. Elowen laid her handmade garland across it, and the hidden loom answered by weaving starlight through her work.

By evening, the arch held both crafts together: green stem and moonbeam, hoof-knot and secret silver. Elowen stood beneath it quietly, proud of every place her own hands had learned the vine.
