🎨 How to color it

Color the flag red, white, and blue, give the picnic basket a toasty tan, and make the lemonade pale yellow with a bright orange slice. The folded napkin tucked beside the woven picnic basket looks ordinary, yet its sharp little triangle points straight toward a secret in the park. High above the trees, the fireworks were already sketching stars in the sky before anyone noticed what the blanket was hiding.

Maya had brought lemonade, plates, and a fork for the Fourth of July picnic, but she had not packed the tiny paper map that peeked from under the napkin. Can you find the drink with the striped straw? That was where the first clue said to look: “Follow the fizz to the waving flag.” The flag on the pole fluttered over the blanket, its stripes bending like waves. Behind one drawn stripe on the picnic plate, Maya spotted a small star mark that matched the fireworks overhead.

She lifted the plate carefully. Under it was a flat blue envelope, hidden right in the scenery of their picnic.
