🎨 How to color it

Color the palm fronds bright tropical green, the hammock sunny yellow, the ocean turquoise, and the seashells soft coral and lavender. Use chunky crayons for the big leaves and hammock, then switch to a sharper crayon tip for the wave lines and small shell ridges. Try making the sky fade from pale blue at the clouds to deeper blue above the palm tops.

At sundown, Tavi padded across Moonspool Beach with a tiny shell cup pressed to his chest. The sand hissed hot under his toes, and the palm shadows looked long and secret. He wanted to carry one cup of cool water to the crabs hiding beneath the dry rocks, but every wave ran away before he could scoop it.

Then he heard drip, drip, drip. Silver moonlight was sliding off two palm leaves and pooling in the empty hammock. Tavi tipped his shell cup, and the hammock sagged low, catching the glow like a soft bowl. “For the thirsty ones,” he whispered.

By morning, every crab hole was damp and cool, though nobody had seen Tavi work. Ever since, beach hammocks hang low between palms, ready to hold moonlight for anyone small and sandy enough to need it—can you spot Tavi’s secret shell cup shape in the sand?
