🎨 How to color it

Color the suitcase aqua blue, the sunglasses glossy black, the palm tree stickers bright green, and the luggage tag sunny yellow. Use chunky crayons or markers for the wide suitcase panels, then switch to a sharp crayon point for the tiny compass stars and tag lines. Try making every sticker a different vacation color so the bag looks like it has already visited many places.

Every summer morning, Tessa rolled her suitcase from chair to chair and whispered the same question: “Where do we go next?” The wheels went rum-rum on the floor, and the sunglasses on top clicked softly against the handle. Then, at the airport gate, she invented the Where-I-Am Game: close your eyes, touch one sticker, and let the trip answer.

Her finger found the little airplane first, so she listened for engines humming behind the glass. Because of that, she noticed the sun warming her knees. Because of that, she smelled coconut lotion from a nearby beach bag and heard gulls calling on a traveler’s phone. At last her finger landed on the compass, and Tessa smiled. “Here,” she said. The suitcase stood still, exactly right, while the wheels held their small rum-rum secret.
