🎨 How to color it

Color jersey 7 in cherry red, jersey 9 in sunshine yellow, the two cones bright orange, and the goal net a cool light gray. Use sharp colored pencils for the jersey numbers, shoe studs, ball panels, and the goal’s small net squares so the details stay crisp. Try a soft blue sky fading to pale lavender behind the hills, letting the warm uniforms and orange cones pop forward.

The story behind this coloring page

The Joy in the Locket — The tiny shoe charm clicked inside Ari’s pocket as she tapped the ball between two cones. Click, tap, click. Read the full story →

The tiny shoe charm clicked inside Ari’s pocket as she tapped the ball between two cones. Click, tap, click. She wanted one clean pass to Bea, just like her sister had shown her before moving away. The grass smelled wet and sweet, and the goal net whispered in the breeze beyond the practice line.

Then the ball skipped sideways, past the cone, toward the older players near the far goal. Ari chased it over bumpy turf, her socks picking up burrs and her charm thumping against her leg. A girl in jersey 5 stopped the ball with a soft squeak. “Pass it through us,” she called.

Ari’s foot trembled, then swept. The ball rolled from girl to girl, laughter following it like bells, until it came back to Bea’s open hands. Ari pulled out the tiny charm and held it up. The clean pass was good, but the cheer that rose from everyone was better; next time you spot the ball between the cones, listen for click, tap, click.
