🎨 How to color it

Color the rescue helicopter cherry red, the rotor stripes sunny yellow, the cloud basket pale lavender, and the smiling clouds soft sky blue. Use sharp pencils for the tiny stars, rope knots, window edges, and basket crisscrosses, then switch to smooth marker fills on the helicopter body. Try a gentle pink-to-orange glow inside the wind swirls so the floating basket feels warm against the cool clouds.

Before sunrise above the sky nursery, Bix counted the rope knots under his skids: one, two, three. He wanted to carry the foam basket once without bumping a star, but the wind curls kept nudging his tail with a soft whoosh and a peppermint-cold tickle.

Inside the basket, the smallest cloudlet trembled like bath bubbles. It had drifted away from the nap flock and was too light for the big rescue nets. Bix lowered his hook slowly until the rope went snug. “I can go little,” he whispered, and lifted so gently that even the two sparrows stopped chirping.

The cloudlet peeked over the rim. The basket did not swing. The stars did not wobble. A tiny smile puffed across its face, then stayed, round and bright as dawn. Ever since, every cloud basket is given a cheerful face, to remind small flyers that a careful first lift can feel like being held. Can you spot the knot Bix counted before the whoosh?
