🎨 How to color it

Color the dinosaur sage green, the pilgrim hat charcoal with a gold buckle, the cornstalk leaves olive, and the pumpkin a deep harvest orange. Use sharp colored pencils for the corn kernels, dinosaur spots, curling pumpkin vines, and the thin furrows in the distant field. Try a warm sunset gradient behind the cloud shapes so the black hat and green stalks stand out clearly.

Across the pumpkin field, Tovin carried three tall cornstalks he had cut and tied himself, their leaves whispering shh-shh against his shoulder. He wanted the centerpiece to stand by the harvest table without wobbling, so he tested every step between the furrows. Dry leaves clicked under his claws, and the air smelled like cold dirt and pumpkin stems.

At the flat stone near the vines, he turned the stalks to check his knot. Something gave a tiny clink. Tovin froze, then peeled back one curled leaf and found a little wind-bell made from a corn husk, two seeds, and a twist of silver thread. “I made a handle,” he breathed, seeing his own knot had lifted it free.

When he raised the stalks again, the bell rang once—clear as sunlight on a farmhouse window. The centerpiece was no longer just corn; it was a thing his hands had woken. If you spot the tallest stalk, keep an eye on its folded leaves, where the shh-shh became a tiny clink.
