🎨 How to color it

Color the owl soft chestnut brown, the pilgrim hat charcoal gray with a golden buckle, the pumpkin bright orange, and the maple leaves cranberry red and golden yellow. Use chunky crayons or broad marker strokes for the owl’s round face and pumpkin sections, then switch to a sharper crayon point for the leaf veins, berry circles, and tiny stars. Try making the smiling moon pale butter yellow against a cool lavender night so the little hat buckle and pumpkin glow feel extra cozy.

Every evening, Oona tapped her tiny buckle charm, perched on the biggest pumpkin, and practiced one brave “Hoo!” for the harvest hour. The buckle had been her baby button, and it made a small clink that felt like a friend. Until one night, the moon hiccuped. “Hic-ho!” went the sky, and three stars plopped into the pumpkin vines with a fizzy sparkle smell.

Because of that, the pumpkins began wobbling like pudding. Because of THAT, Oona’s pumpkin rolled toward the berry bushes, bump-bump-bump! Oona squeezed her claws, tapped her buckle, and hooted, “Stop, silly squash!” The moon giggled, the stars jumped back up, and the pumpkin sat still. Next time you see Oona’s tiny buckle, can you guess where her brave “Hoo!” began?
